I recently purchased this kit, http://www.gorillawinches.com/gorilla-w ... ry-kit.htm, online from Gorilla Winches.

The snatch block looks, at first glance, just like it's Warn counterpart. Upon a somewhat closer inspection, I found the side plates to be 0.020" thinner than the Warn. The axle pin is a little longer on the Gorilla. The c-clips holding it together are the light weight variety; the Warn one has a much thicker cross-section and appears to be much stronger. The pully itself has the cable race slightly off center as compared to the Warn.

The tree protectors, actually a couple of nylon chokers, have an advertized rating of 30,000 lbs. They are heavy weight 1 inch nylon material, but not 30,000 lbs capable... safe load on these things might be 1500 lbs eye-to-eye.

The 1/2" clevises are unrated and made in China, with local hardware selling these at ~$5. I wouldn't trust them on a any kind of lift without proof testing first.

The nylon case is nice, with pockets for the various items, to keep the gear in place. It actually has a couple of extra pockets. I used one of the extras to hold my 8K Warn snatch block.

Over all, this seems to be an good buy for the $49.99 price tag. And it fits right nicely in my box.
